Dogs may be man's best friend, but when it comes to bedtime, they turn into full-blown bed bandits. Somehow, a 20-pound pup can sprawl across the mattress like a Great Dane on vacation, leaving hoomans clinging to the edge with one blanket corner and zero dignity.

It always starts innocently enough: they curl up at the foot of the bed, looking like a sweet little snuggle bug. Fast forward to 3 a.m., and suddenly you're shoved into a sliver of space while your furry friend is starfishing in the middle, snoring loud enough to rattle the windows. Bonus points if they've managed to steal every pillow, too.

Try moving them, and you'll get the patented puppy-dog eyes that scream, "How dare you disturb royalty?" So what do we do? We give in, of course. Because no matter how much space they steal, or how many nights we wake up half-frozen, we wouldn't trade it for anything. Bedtime with a dog means warmth, cuddles, and unconditional love… even if it also means hooman sleep deprivation.
